4. How can one become a Christian?
5. How many types of Christian do we have?
The answers to this questions will come one after the other from the word of God
ANSWER TO QUESTION 1
What is Christianity?
Christianity is a way of life attained through the word and the divine love of God which is the light of the world.
Christianity is the only channel through which humanity reconnect to God the creator by accepting his light and
love.
Christianity is the channel through which humanity can escape eternal damnation and attain eternal life.
Christianity is the brightest light shown into the darkest darkness of this world and the darkness of the world cannot withstand it.
This word which is also the light of men, has being with God before the foundation of the world,
To butress these answers let us look at
John 1:1-5, 9-14 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.The same was in the beginning with God.
All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.
In him was life; and the life was the light of men.
And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.
That was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world.
He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not.
He came unto his own, and his own received him not.
But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:
Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.
And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.
That word which is also the light of men is JESUS CHRIST, so Christianity is the way of life one attained by accepting Jesus Christ
That is the answer to the first question,
Now let us move on to hear the answer to question number 2
A Christian is anyone that has turned his back at the darkness and every pleasure of this world to accept and walk in the light and love of God through the eternal word of God.
A Christian is anyone that believe and walk in the true light of God.
A Christian is anyone that has become son and daughter of God by receiving the light and believe in the name of in the name of the true light of God.
Let us look at John 1:4-5, 9,12 again.
John 1:4-5, 9, 12 In him was life; and the life was the light of men.And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.
That was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world.
But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:
A Christian is any human being that has pass through a divine
RE- BORN process
John 1:13
John 1: 13A Christian is a born again human being
Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.
Moving to question 3
When can one be called a Christian?
Is it when the person start to attend church activities?
Is it when the person start to do one work or the other in the name of God's work?
Or is it when one start taking holy Communion or when he or she has been baptised in water?
Nooo;!!!
The only time anyone can be called a Christian is, when he or she has passed through the divine reborn process by the word of God and has attained the divine reborn nature, bearing the fruits of a reborn (born again) person both in the secret and in the public. By this, the person has become a child of God
John 1:12-13
John 1: 12-13
But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:
Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.
Someone can only be called a Christian, when he or she no longer walk in any form of darkness of this world, when all things has become new in his life, when there is no more any condemnation in him or her.
2 Corinthians 5:17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.
Romans 8:1 There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.
So, someone can only be called a Christian when he or she has attained new way of life that leads to eternal life through JESUS CHRIST, for JESUS CHRIST is that word of God and light of men.
John 1:14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth. Now moving to the fourth question 4, which asks:
How can one become a Christian?
ANSWER TO THE FOURTH QUESTION
Someone can become a Christian by taking the following steps:
A. Acknowledgement: after listening to the word of God, as the word of like a mirror reveal the person to him or herself, the person has to admit and acknowledge himself as a sinner
B. After this acknowledgement, the person has to repent and confess all those sins to God through Jesus Christ name, the word of God says in the book of Isaiah
Isaiah 1:18 Come now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.
C. If the repentance and confession of that person are genuine, he will also take this third step, which is FORSAKE, that is, that person will forsake all those sins by determining in his or her heart never to go back to those sins again both in secret and in public, let us look at the word of God concerning that,
Isaiah 55:7 Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the LORD, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon.
D. The next steps to these is to BELIEVE that God can save him as he or she repent and confess through JESUS CHRIST
John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
E. Then what happened next is that that person RECEIVES that gift of salvation, which is called being born again or justification. At the point of RECEIVING, the spirit of God will bear withers with the person's spirit that he or she is now a child of God, and he will feel the evidence of great joy in his or her heart, as the person's name is written in the book of Life in heaven.
Romans 8:16 The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God:
This is the only way for one to claim to have given his or life to JESUS CHRIST.
We move to answer the last question
ANSWER TO QUESTION 5
How many type of Christians do we have?
There is only one type of Christian.
Is either you are a Christian, or you are not.
I do hear people say, haaaa, that man or that woman is a real Christian or he is a genuine Christian,
So, I ponder in my heart, by saying this, does it mean there could be a fake Christian?
Nothing like fake and original Christian, you are either a Christian or you are not. Simple
The name Christian came to be when the some of the disciples went to Antioch
Acts 11:26 And when he had found him, he brought him unto Antioch. And it came to pass, that a whole year they assembled themselves with the church, and taught much people. And the disciples were called Christians first in Antioch.
Because those people of Antioch could observe the character of CHRIST in those disciples, they could see that they were behaving the same way as CHRIST, that was why the people of Antioch began to called those disciples CHRISTIAN.
So anyone claiming to be a Christian must behave as CHRIST,
Jesus Christ was a not a sinner, so like wise, anyone bearing his name must not be engaged in any form of sin both secretly and openly.
1 John 3:2-10 Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.And every man that hath this hope in him purifieth himself, even as he is pure.
Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law.
And ye know that he was manifested to take away our sins; and in him is no sin.
Whosoever abideth in him sinneth not: whosoever sinneth hath not seen him, neither known him.
Little children, let no man deceive you: he that doeth righteousness is righteous, even as he is righteous.
He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.
Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.
In this the children of God are manifest, and the children of the devil: whosoever doeth not righteousness is not of God, neither he that loveth not his brother.
That is the word of God
So, any one that is still committing any type of sin, be it small or big, openly or secretly, is not a CHRISTIAN.
The answer to that question is;
THERE IS ONLY ONE TYPE OF CHRISTIAN,
IS EITHER YOU ARE A CHRISTIAN OR YOU ARE NOT.
NO MORE, NO LESS
